B1F Exhibition Room 70 Monet “Woman with a Parasol” Collection of the Musée d’Orsay (France)
An elegant woman strolls through the fields of Giverny, France, blending into the grass beneath her feet and the sky in the background. It's a sunny day, but you can tell by the movement of the clouds and the woman's scarf fluttering in the wind that it's a windy day. You can hardly tell the expression on her face, probably because she is drawing it as part of the landscape. It is thought that her model was Suzanne (18 years old at the time), the daughter of Alice Hochede, with whom Monet was living at the time.

Let's go on a journey to see Monet's works scattered around the world!
At this museum, you can appreciate nine works in one place.
