Kenshi Yonezu's "Lemon" CD jacket on ceramic tile on display at Otsuka Museum of Art

It has been decided that the oversized jacket of the 8th single "Lemon," which features an original illustration by Kenshi Yonezu, will be made into a ceramic tile and exhibited at the Otsuka Museum of Art.

"Lemon," released in March 2018, swept through many charts that year, and also in the first half of 2019 won 1st place, achieving a total of 25 crowns including artist rankings. The music video was the first by a Japanese artist to surpass 400,000,000 views, and is still breaking records. At the end of last year, the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen was broadcast live from this museum in Yonezu's hometown of Tokushima, which became a big topic of conversation.

This time, as a token of gratitude to the many people who have cherished and nurtured Lemon, Yonezu has produced a special extra-large "Lemon" ceramic plaque with the cover art that he himself painted. It will be on display at the Otsuka Museum of Art from July 30th. The ceramic plaque is 93 x 93 cm and will not fade or deteriorate, so its color and shape will remain the same for 2000 years to come. Please take a look.
